  1. Light: Caladium humboldtii prefers bright, indirect light or filtered sunlight. Avoid direct sunlight, especially intense afternoon sun, as it can scorch the delicate leaves. It thrives in locations with dappled shade or where it receives gentle morning sun.

  2. Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water thoroughly when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. Ensure good drainage to prevent water from pooling around the roots, which can lead to rot.

  3. Humidity: Caladiums, including Caladium humboldtii, prefer high humidity levels. If your indoor environment is dry, consider misting the leaves regularly or placing the plant on a humidity tray filled with water and pebbles.
